Virtually all viral diseases are incurable. When we say ‘incurable’ we mean that we don’t have a way of directly attacking the virus, causing the infection. All we can do is wait for our immune system to deal with the viral infection. There are certain viral diseases, like hepatitis c, which are not recognized by our bodies and our white blood cells are ineffective against them. That’s why we say they are incurable. In the case of HIV or herpes for example, that would be true.
